There usually seems to be a lot of rhetoric coming from those who support same sex marraige. It is hard to get them to have a factual philosophical discussion about it.

your ideas on traditional marriage are full of errors and discrepencies as well. and besides it is really not your right to decide what marriage means unless of course you deem yourself above the rest. what does that make you? are u trying to make an impartial argument when you cant even be impartial yourself? i dont want to be rude but you guys disgust me.

JL, civil marriage is a social contract that the government recognizes. The government is organized by the people. Prop 8 allowed everyone in the state of CA to vote on how they want to define marriage. Traditional marriage definition won by the same margin Obama won the presidency.
Can you define/explain what you see as errors and discrepancies? That would be helpful to the discussion
