actually. california’s prop 8 changed my life.
i’m just a girl. and i’m not married. and i don’t have any kids.
but in the face of arguments that insisted, stole signs, tore signs, spray-painted, keyed cars, ripped off stickers, threw eggs, bleach, middle fingers, screamed and whispered “bigot” for equality at the expense of children and family (and freedom of speech), i realized that this discussion is bigger than just prop 8.
children have a right to a mom and a dad. society should do everything it can to encourage this situation.
